A cooperative library system serving public libraries in Livingston, Ontario, Wayne and Wyoming counties of New York State Home More about PLS Calendar of Events Map PLS Member Libraries Library Home Pages Online Databases PLS Outreach The Pioneer Library System receives special funding from the New York State Legislature to provide a planned program designed to identify, contact and serve people who are blind, physically and developmentally disabled, aged, institutionalized, educationally disadvantaged, geographically isolated, unemployed and/or members of ethnic or minority groups in need of special library services. The System receives this special funding on a per capita basis which varies from year to year according to current legislation.
